How do I book a session?
Use our contact form or email us with your preferred date, location, and session type. A signed agreement and retainer secure the date.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Weekends fill 3–6 weeks out. Golden-hour evenings go fastest. For newborns, reserve your spot based on your due date and we’ll lock the exact day after baby arrives.
What does your pricing include?
Session time, professional editing, an online gallery, and high-resolution digital files. Packages vary by image count and add‑ons like rush delivery.
Do you require a deposit or retainer?
Yes—50% retainer at booking, applied to your total. It’s non‑refundable but transferable once (see reschedule policy below).
How do payments work?
We accept card, ACH, and cash. Final balance is due 24 hours before your session. Sales tax is included in quoted totals for Tennessee bookings.
What should we wear?
Choose 2–3 coordinated neutrals (cream/white + light blues/tans), add texture (knits, lace), and avoid loud logos. We’ll send a quick style guide after booking.
Can we bring pets or props?
Absolutely. Pets are family—bring a leash and treats. Props are great if meaningful (blankets, heirlooms, sports gear). We’ll keep it clean and timeless.
What if it rains?
We watch the forecast and make the call 4–8 hours prior. We can pivot to an indoor location or reschedule to the next available golden-hour slot.
How many photos do we receive?
Typical sessions yield 8-10 proofed images, depending on the session. Your package includes downloads based on your selection; full‑gallery upgrades are available.
What is your turnaround time?
Sneak peeks within 72 hours. Full galleries in 7–10 days (busy season up to 14). Rush options available—ask when booking.
Do you retouch blemishes or do heavy edits?
We provide natural, polished edits (skin cleanup, color, exposure). Advanced retouching (brace removal, body edits, object removal) is available à la carte.
What is your reschedule/cancellation policy?
You may reschedule once with 48+ hours’ notice and transfer your retainer. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the retainer. Sick kiddo? Just message us—we’re parents too.
What about late arrivals?
We’ll do our best, but sessions end at the scheduled time. If the calendar allows, we can extend in 15‑minute increments.
How do newborn sessions work?
Best within 5–14 days. We keep the studio warm, white‑noise on, and follow baby’s lead. Parents/siblings are welcome for a few portraits.
Do you photograph small events?
Yes—coverage starts at 2 hours for small events like birthdays, showers, or reunions. Tell us your timeline and guest count for a custom quote.
Can we get RAW files?
We deliver high‑resolution edited JPEGs which represent our style. RAWs aren’t included, but we can discuss specific commercial needs.
Can you travel to our location?
Yes—travel within 20 miles of Knoxville is included. Beyond that, a small travel fee applies; ask for a quick estimate.
